Mc HotDog is known as the "Godfather of Taiwanese Hip Hop" and is considered a key influential figure in the development of Chinese hip-hop. He attended Fu Jen Catholic University, where he garnered fame as a rap artist. His self-made album circulated on campus and became such a hit that his reputation spread to Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China. He served as one of the producers and judges on the Chinese rap competition show, The Rap of China and participated as a regular member in the first season of Call Me By Fire.
