Lin Yu Shen (birthname: Lin Shen) is a Chinese actor born in a movie family in Beijing and grew up in an entertainment environment. His mother is Chinese film and television producer and director Li Xiaowan and his godmother is director Li Shaohong. He graduated in UTS International Business School, Australia. Lin officially entered showbiz in 2000 with his debut appearance in the TV series "Ripening Orange". In 2008, he won the BQ Reds List Quality Idol Award. In 2010, he won the Most Potential Actor Award at the 16th Shanghai TV Festival for his role in the family comedy "A Beautiful Daughter-in-Law Era". In 2013, he received attention for his role as Wei Rufeng in the urban romance drama "Flower Pinellia". He served as a judge for the International Emmy Awards in 2007 and 2011. Lin began to fall in love at an early age of 14 but the relationship was opposed by his mother. Under her advice, the love affair ended with a breakup.
