Kim Dong Young, known by his mononymous name Doyoung, is a South Korean singer, actor, host, and musical actor born in Guri, Gyeonggi. He is the main vocalist of NCT, a South Korean group under SM Entertainment. He is also under its subunits, NCT 127 and NCT U. He first debuted with NCT U in 2016 and later got added to NCT 127 in 2017. His training period was 2 years and 5 months. Apart from his idol career, Kim made his acting debut as the male lead in 2021 with the MBC web series "Cafe Midnight Season 3: Curious Stalker" and he made his musical theatre debut as Count Axel von Fersen in the musical Marie Antoinette in 2021. His older brother, Gong Myung, is an actor and a former member of the K-pop boy group 5URPRISE. Kim along with his members Jaehyun and Jungwoo is part of the subunit called DoJaeJung. The subunit debut on April 17, 2023.
