Won the Mito Short Film Festival Grand Prix for Stop Jerking Off(2007) and the Tama New Wave Grand Prix for Two-Timer(2009). He made his commercial feature film debut with the music documentary Tama no Eiga in 2010. I Catch a Terrible Cat(2012) was screened at numerous film festivals overseas, and won a Best Directing Award at the 12th Transilvania International Film Festival.
